In DAM, An Admin User(Who is registered as Admin User) have all permission for its resources. He can give permission(s) for his resources to any other user. By this an Admin User share/manage his resources through the other user of his choice.

Editing an Admin User Page

First Go to the Admin User page by clicking it link where ever shown. To get Admin Tools click on "Show Admin" button if it is not clicked as shown in the image.

After "Show Admin" button is clicked two buttons "Edit.." and "Create Folder" appear as shown in image below. Click on Edit.. button to edit the Admin User page.

On Admin User Page, you will find some buttons to browse by "Date","Author" and "Page Name". Browse by date will give list of pages sorted by date in descending order and browse by Page Name will list the pages sorted by page name in dictionary sort order. Numbers(in white) in a small circle(grey background) show the number of pages available in that resource(Admin User or Folder) of which you have "View" permission.

If you want to give permission(s) to a user or user group, click "Edit..." button on Admin User page as shown in image below.

You can assign "View" permission to view Admin User page,"Edit" to edit the Admin User page or "Add Folder" to create a new folder into this Admin User.

After clicking the above Permission Edit button, Permission editor page will open as below. Then select the user(E-people) to give permission or select group for the same. Note: Don't forget to Update group button to update the changes to the DAM.

Creating a Folder

Creating a Folder is done through Admin User page by button "Create Folder".This button can be enabled/disabled by clicking Show Admin button on the breadcrumb bar.

Note: After creating a folder you can assign various permission of this folder to other user by clicking Edit.. button on Folder page and the by clicking Edit button near the permission label.

Editing a Folder Page

Edit a folder page is same as Edit User Page. The Edit.. button on Folder page allows you to change Folder's metadata (such as name and introductory text), configure permission, or delete the folder entirely.

The 'Delete' button (located at the top of the page) will remove the Folder (including all its pages).

The Name, Short Description and Introductory Text fields are mandatory, the others are not. Note that this is not enforced, but is highly recommended.

Copyright Text is simply text that will appear at the bottom of the Folder's home page.

To add or change the logo to be displayed on the Folder's home page, click on the Upload Logo button. On the next screen either type in a path to the logo file or browse to the logo file, then click on the Upload button.

Changing Folder Permission is same as changing Admin User Page permission.

E-people

As shown in image, click E-people link to add new user. Use this tool to add an e-mail address thus to make a member user that you wish to authorize to play a role in the system. After submitting the email address follow the instruction given on next page. An email containing a link will be sent to that email address. By clicking the link sent, a user will be able to set password and then can login to DAM.

Groups

As shown in above image, click "Groups" link to add new user group. Use this section to create, edit and delete groups of e-persons and/or groups who can be authorized for specific functions in the system.

Groups can be used for a variety of purposes. Groups may represent e-people who are allowed to add page(s) to a particular folder; or groups of e-people who have permission to access some restricted content. Information about what each group is allowed to do is controlled using the Permission Section.

Groups may contain other groups to provide greater flexibility in assigning actions and to simplify maintenance. This is useful for reflecting hierarchical group structures, where a group of e-people with particular responsibilities are also part of a larger group with differing responsibilities and/or scope of responsibility.

Create and Editing Groups

To create a group, as shown in above image, click Groups link on by clicking the drop down at the top right corner of the page header which navigate to Group page and then click on Create New Group. Change the default group name at top to desired name and click on Update Group. You can add other group or E-Person to this group by clicking the Select E-people or Group button. Note that after making changes you must click the Update Group button below to reflect the changes to the system

The Group Editor

The group editor allows you to add or remove e-people or even entire groups of e-people from a particular group, for example the group of e-people allowed to add page or add page content to the page in a particular folder.

At the top of the screen is the name of the group. It is strongly recommended that you change this name according to your choice;

Below that is a list of e-people (full name and e-mail address) in the gourp as well as a list of groups currently in the group. To remove an e-person from the group, select their name from the "EPerson members" list and click on the 'Remove Selected' button below the list. To remove an entire group from the group, select the name of the group from the "Group Members" list and click on the 'Remove Selected button below the list.

To select e-people to add to the list, click on the 'Select E-people...' button, and a new pop-up window will appear. This lets you browse around the list of e-people in the system and add them to the group. You can sort the list by e-mail address and last name, by clicking on the heading of the relevant column. The heading of the current sort column will be displayed in bold and have an arrow indicating how it is sorted. You can browse around the full list by clicking on the links above and below the list in the pop-up window.

To add an e-person to the group in the main group editor window, click the 'Add' button to the left of their row. Note that the pop-up window doesn't disappear at this point, to make it easier to add several e-people at once; however this can make it look like nothing's happened when you click on 'Add'. However, if you look at the group on the main group editor page, you should see the e-people have been added to the list.

Adding and removing groups of e-people works the same way as adding and removing individual e-people. When a group is added to another group, the containing group will consider all of the members of the contained group as members.

To select groups to add to the "Group Members" list, click on the 'Select Groups...' button and a new pop-up window will appear. This window works the same way as described above for the e-person pop-up window. Click on the 'Add' button to the left of the group name to add the group to the "Group Members" list on the main group editor page.

When you've finished adding or removing e-people and/or groups to or from the group, click on 'Update Group' on the main group editor page. (The e-person/group selector pop-up will close automatically, if you haven't closed it yourself beforehand.)
